Can anyone give me information on the planning procedure involved in UK hydro especially to do with water mills

also does anyone know about the environmental impacts, river / mill race dredging, water extraction license, river flood planning defence license?

further to this I would like to know if there are any educational courses in the UK on micro hydro?

If you can give me any other useful information I would really appreciate.
